Getting Started

Well I decided to try out the Blogging deal. I really am clueless when it comes to this so for a while it will be a little sketchy. I am not even close to being a writer so generally you will just see random thought spilled out so you can read.

I have been playing Guild Wars for a little over a year now and really enjoy the game. for those of you who are not familiar with the game it is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Which means of course you end up playing a game on the Internet with about 2-3 million other people.

This game is a little different than the average MMORPG because you are only with other people in towns and outposts. The rest of the time you are on your own. You can choose to be with up to 8 of you friends if you choose. What I mean by that is that when you are in an town or outpost you can meet up with a few of your friends and get into a group and then leave the town together to go complete a quest or mission. Most of the MMORPGs out there let you interact with the other players in nearly every area of that game, which means of course that they can affect your game play. Sometimes that can be good and other times..... well not so good.

The main character that I play is a monk. The monk in GW (Guild Wars) is generally a healing class. Monks can be used for smiting, but generally they are healers. I have 9 other characters on my main account, some of which are just storage units. My son has 5 character on the same account as well. So needless to say we stay quite busy. Within that last month I bought a new computer, so now I am able to play on my alternate account while my son plays on the main account.

What I will be doing is just blogging on what I do in GW, whether it be on my main character or on one of the alts. I hope you enjoy!
