Well Klojamir has conquered another campaign; NF (Nightfall). NF is the latest campaign to go down in the books. I have had NF for quite some time now but never really got into it with Klojamir. I have finished the game with one of my alts. Colien my paragon finished it about 4 months ago, but I just never took Klojamir through. One of my guildies was working through NF and needed a monk to do some healing, and well there wasn't one around. It was at that point I decided to get Klojamir through there so he will be able to be there in a pinch. I am pretty happy that Klojamir has other options now, when help is needed.
Getting Klojamir through the mission "Gate of Madness" (16th mission in NF) was pretty interesting. I joined up with a PUG group and just hoped that it was a descent group. I didn't know enough about the mission to make a go of it alone. I guess I could have read up on it and put together a team of heroes and henchies, but I didn't want to take the time. After being accepted into a group I did a quick glance at the group setup. One of the first things I look at is how many monks there are other than myself. My heart sank a bit when I realized that I was the only healer in the group. At that moment I figured I should just bail now and not waste my time. One monk in one of the highest levels in the story line is not a good thing. Most of the people started pinging there builds and I realized that one of the Elementalists had all monk skills. I figured this was going to be interesting. So I didn’t bail on the group, I just held my breath and jump in.
We started out like every other mission I had done before, without much difficulty. Later on in the mission the level of the mobs started to increase and the battles got a little more intense. I started to realize that I wasn’t as stressed out as much as I thought I would be. I realized that that ele was doing one heck of a job healing. Even on me! She would heal as good as any monk I had seen in a PUG, which totally amazed me. We got down to the last area of the mission where you have to take out 2 main bosses, The Lich, and Shiro. That was one interesting fight. I don’t think that many of the people knew how we were supposed to actually finish this last area. But we tried a few different ways and after several near wipes, and I mean down to one person (the ele). I read the wiki to see what we were supposed to be doing. So we regrouped and went at it again, with a different tactic. Take out the Lich first and forget everything else. We downed the Lich and after a couple minutes, and then each of the groups along the walls of the final chamber. Each group killed gave us much needed buffs. After they were all eliminated we had enough buffs on us to finally attempt to eliminate Shiro.
This last fight was (in my opinion) really intense. There were 8 of us trying to down Shiro, slowly but surely we whittled his health down to the point where we knew we could beat him. But the thing that amazed me was that the healer ele was an incredible healer. She did everything right. The whole battle was total chaos, warriors dying, then being rezzed, I died a hew times, the ele died a few times, everyone in that group died many times. It just continued like that for 15-20 minutes. But no one ever gave up or complained about the healing. Eventually after several four-leaf clovers, and candy canes (to remove the death penalty). We were able to down Shiro.
For me that was really worth it. Yeah we didn’t do it the fastest most productive way. But we did do it and we did work together, we worked together quite well I feel. Getting into a PUG isn’t usually a good experience especially for a healer. But this one made me smile at the end. That was really fun.

This must be Later
The dungeon wasn't to bad, but there were 5 levels to it, which means we spent quite a bit of time in it. We really did have fun though. For some this was the 1st dungeon ever, so doing it for that reason was good enough.
So I did this one as a Minion Master. I really am enjoying the MM, it's still a caster type profession which seems to be my favored profession. I get to stand in the background and produce as many meat shields as possible. Of course when everything starts going south I get to run. I brought the skill Resurrect with me so I could do some rezzing so the monks didn't have to. On a couple occasions the whole team got wiped except for me so I had to do a bit of rezzing. Bringing the group back for a 2nd round was pretty nice. The bonus of course for me was I didn't get any DP (death penalty), although I think I did die once or twice.
We did get some pretty good drops this time with only one green drop, which I was happy to see that it had my name on it. I got Claws of the Kinslayer, so for me that made it worth the whole trip. I got an Onyx and a few gold drops. Unfortunetly I used up 8 lockpicks, well 5 lockpicks, I gave 3 to my son. Everyone had fun so maybe we will all do this again sometime.

Spending Time in the Burrows
For the 1st time we (as a guild) were able to have enough people to run a dungeon without all heroes and henchies, so we decided to run the Frostmaw's Burrow dungeon.
I didn't use Klojamir this time because my son was on that account, running his warrior. I used the 2nd account running with a Minion Master. The funny thing was at 1st we had 4 warriors. We only had two in the group that weren't warriors, there was an interupt ranger and me the MM. We had to throw in a couple hero monks so my brother put in Dunk and Tahikora, one as Prot and the other to heal. One of the guildies that had a warrior had a ranger as well up to the Sifhalla where we were taking off, so he swapped out the warrior for a barrage interrupt ranger. That seemed to work out ok, but it really would have been nice to have an ele in the group. I guess I will have to get to work and get an ele in to Eye of the North. It would be nice if more of the guild member had optional characters to run, that would make it easier to set up a group. It's all good though we didn't really have a problem running the dungeon.
More on the dungeon......Later

A Little Nightfall and more Aura Glade
I took Klojamir into Nightfall today to get a few missions completed. I did Kodonur Crossroads, Pogahn Passage, and Rilohn Refuge. I did Kodonur Crossroads and Pogahn Passage with heroes and henchies. It wasn't a problem at all, just go in slow and take everything apart piece by piece. I had to go with a PUG (Pick-Up Group) for the Rilohn Refuge mission. You need to have Master of Wispers to get into this mission, and I chose the opposite path the gave me Magrid the Sly as a hero. So getting into a PUG that already had Master of Wispers was my only option (for now) to finish it. I was totally surprised that we got masters on it. I have been through that mission a few times with my other nightfall character (paragon) and never once got into a group that could do masters. So getting it the first time was a nice surprise.
I really have been putting off taking Klojamir into Nightfall. I have no idea why other than maybe I did it once and didn't feel the need to do it again. But it really would be nice to take Klojamir anywhere in GW. My friends and family will eventually get all of the campaigns so I might as well get my monk through there as well so I can help out when the time comes. Plus the big bonus is getting another max title for the Protector deal. My brother has taken his main character through all of Prophecies, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. It's pretty nice having him come along with the same character all the time. It just fits right. I know exactly how he runs the character and what I need to do to help make it easier to get a mission finished. If I have to help in nightfall I have to bring my Paragon along which is alright but my play style changes and sometimes that is difficult to get used to. Plus we have to rely on Heroes to do the healing. That's fine and all. but it's really nice have a real person do the healing.
I helped another guildie tonight with the Aura Glade mission in Phophecies. This time was like the last time. Not to difficult I didn't go for the bonus this time. We weren't set up for it and he didn't care weather we got it or not. So we just went with attuning the three pedestals and got it over with.

Running Maguuma Jungle
A couple of guildies and I ran a few missions in the Maguuma Jungle tonight. I have been through there a couple of times running Klojamir and my sons warrior, so I was pretty familiar with the missions. One of our guild members hadn't been through there so we ran 3 of the missions with him. We ran Aurora Glade, Riverside Province, and Sanctum Cay. We ran with an interrupter ranger, warrior, and Klojamir of course was the monk, he is set up as a straight healer with no prot. We took a couple heroes along as well. We took Jora for some melee damage, Olias set as a minion master, and we added Melonnie for some added melee damage so we could plow through a little faster. We got the bonus on all 3 missions so that was pretty nice. They really aren't that difficult, but we ended up running Sanctum Cay twice because at the end of the first time we messed up and didn't get to Vizier Khilbron soon enough. He didn't stand long against 6-7 White Mantle. We were trying to complete the bonus and accidentally got to close to the boat which activated Vizier and the White Mantle. The second time through was pretty quick considering we didn't have to worry about the spirit and the bonus. All in all it went really well.
I really enjoy being the healer in the group. It's true I do not get to see most of the action and the cool affects, but for me it gets pretty intense trying to keep the health bars full. I find that a lot of the time I don't see anything but the health bars for an entire mission. So when someone asks which way did you go here or there, I kinda have to shrug my shoulders. I usually end up doing a mission a few times so eventually I get to know my way around. My brother runs a warrior and is pretty good at it, so I kind of just follow his lead and try keeping up and keep him alive. On my other account I run as a Minion Master. Both the monk and the MM (Minion Master) are both caster classes, but they are played in 2 totally different ways. For me as a MM I concentrate on my minions alone and nothing else. I watch all of the bodies that are falling so I can snag up as many minions as possible. I have notice that I can focus on what is actually going on and even target the next target. I like the fact that I can call out who is going to be hit next. With the monk I have no time to look and see which target is next. If I take my eyes off the health bars..... Olias will be pulling his next minion out of my own group.

Getting Started
Well I decided to try out the Blogging deal. I really am clueless when it comes to this so for a while it will be a little sketchy. I am not even close to being a writer so generally you will just see random thought spilled out so you can read.
I have been playing Guild Wars for a little over a year now and really enjoy the game. for those of you who are not familiar with the game it is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Which means of course you end up playing a game on the Internet with about 2-3 million other people.
This game is a little different than the average MMORPG because you are only with other people in towns and outposts. The rest of the time you are on your own. You can choose to be with up to 8 of you friends if you choose. What I mean by that is that when you are in an town or outpost you can meet up with a few of your friends and get into a group and then leave the town together to go complete a quest or mission. Most of the MMORPGs out there let you interact with the other players in nearly every area of that game, which means of course that they can affect your game play. Sometimes that can be good and other times..... well not so good.
The main character that I play is a monk. The monk in GW (Guild Wars) is generally a healing class. Monks can be used for smiting, but generally they are healers. I have 9 other characters on my main account, some of which are just storage units. My son has 5 character on the same account as well. So needless to say we stay quite busy. Within that last month I bought a new computer, so now I am able to play on my alternate account while my son plays on the main account.
What I will be doing is just blogging on what I do in GW, whether it be on my main character or on one of the alts. I hope you enjoy!
